Nice wide, full walk-around decks and sturdy steel construction makes the James Cook an excellent fishing platform for chasing the prized reef fish on the Southern Great Barrier Reef in such places as Swains Reef. Understanding fisherman’s needs and styles allows us to maximise your enjoyment.On a one day fishing trip, the MV James Cook and it's experienced crew will be working the in-shore coral reefs, offering a full day of fishing for reef & pelagic fish species. Price: $220.00 Maximum Passengers: 10 (excluding our skipper and crew) Minimum Passengers: 5 Departure Time: 6am Departure Point: Town of 1770 Marina Return Time: 6pm Inclusions: This tour includes Breakfast, Lunch, Morning & Afternoon Tea, Tea/Coffee/Water, Bait, Fishing Equipment, Two experienced crew, fish cleaning, on-board bunks, shower & toilet facilities. We recommend you bring your own sunscreen, hat, camera and esky to take your cleaned catch home in.

The MV James Cook is a custom built 45ft steel charter vessel operating from the town of 1770 Marina since 1985, cruising the waters of the 'Capricorn Bunker group' on the Southern Great Barrier Reef - a cluster of 21 reefs & 15 islands. The vessel can accommodate up to 10 passengers for a live aboard or daily adventure, from 1 to 7 days, with all meals, bait and on board bunk accommodation included. We operate from the Town of 1770 in tropical Queensland .
Driving directions
From the South Travelling on the Bruce Highway from Brisbane, take the turn off to the left to Bundaberg just after Apple Tree Creek. Drive through Bundaberg and take the turn to the left at the Visitors Information Centre, and then follow the signs to the Town of 1770 and Agnes Water, approximately 120 kms from Bundaberg. From the North Travelling on the Bruce Highway, turn left at Miriam Vale (just south of Gladstone) and then follow the signs to the Town of 1770 and Agnes Water.
Airports
Flights operate daily from all Australian capital cities to Gladstone, Bundaberg, Rockhampton & Hervey Bay. Car hire is available at these airports.

Take the Tilt Train to Miriam Vale & connect with a transfer to Town of 1770/Agnes Water. Greyhound Australia also offers bus service into Town of 1770/Agnes Water
