The predefined query here shows all fishing charters for Queensland. Now this is obviously a huge state with a large variety of fishing options but we are in the process of splitting it up into logical regions, but for the time being it will all be covered by this page.
Seasons play a big part in Charter Fishing in Queensland. The wet season in the North changes what’s available and when, but in the south you can more or less be guaranteed year round availability. The other factor is the migration of species of fish and how close they are to shore. This is impacted by the Great Barrier Reef of course but also how far out the continental shelf is. The continental shelf is the area where the ocean suddenly gets really deep or the underwater edge of Australia – it is this area where all the big game fish are – The Blue and Black Marlin etc.
The Great Barrier Reef offers all the coral reef species with so many un touched areas even though there are 100’s of operators. There are too many fish to name them all here.
Then there are the inshore fish that you can get within miles of the coast such as the Travelly, snapper etc, but there are too many to name again as this state is so large and we are covering too much with such a short amount of text.
Don't forget that even though you are not in the Darwin area there are still Barramundi in many of the man made dams in the north.
And as they say the Fishing is perfect one day and also perfect the next.
