Company Information

Classic Fishing Charters is skippered by Glen Harvie a former professional shark fisherman based at Corinella on the eastern shores of the bay for several years. Glen has also skippered the fishing charter boats for 20 years.The charters provide bird watching, dolphin watching tours and sight-seeing and run a variety of fishing trips in Westernport Bay.

The charters boat is SPINA which is a 35-foot traditional timer fishing boat. It is a double ender with a carvel displacement hull. It was built in 1920 in Mordialloc and was the first boat owned by Hampton fisherman Joe Defina. In 1942 Joe sold Spina to the Jacks, a legendary Westernport fishing family and ever since Spina has been in Westernport. The next owner of Spina was Danny Hall, who has known it all of his life. Spina was bought by Classic Fishing Charters in 2006 and presently operates out of Warneet.
