“Fish Fingers” has been designed as the perfect vessel to fully explore the extensive myriad of reefs and waterways around Cairns. You can hire ‘Fish Fingers’ separately for self-drive – you’ll need a boat license though. The 6.2m (21ft) tournament-style fishing & diving boat is fully upholstered and with all the best and latest electronics and all other bells and whistles. It is surveyed to 15nm off the Australian coast, hire as U-Drive or hire with a skipper. The huge 3m canopy gives you great shade all day. the centre console features a huge 150 litre ice box – designed to keep your catch and bait separate from your own food and drinks.

Features

It features the latest electronics – VHF Radio, Navman Colour Sounder & GPS Chart Plotter, CD player and FM stereo. The Deep boarding ladder makes it easy for families, divers etc to re-enter the boat from the water. It features all the fishing extras you’d expect such as- outriggers, rocket launchers, handlines, gaffs, live bait tank, burley bucket and lots of rod holders.

Safety at Sea:

It is only available as daylight hours only hire for self-skipper, weather permitting 10-15 knots forecast or better, of course all the safety equipment is supplied. There is a Maximum 6 people (500kg) in boat for reef trips. The Skippers’ requirements are a current boat license, sufficient boat handling, navigational experience and be of a responsible character. Also available for hire are fishing rods and snorkelling equipment.

Our our vessels are government surveyed to 15nm offshore (for example hire the boat and visit Michelmas, Sudbury & Arlington Reefs, Green Island, Pixie, Upolo and Vlassoff Cays plus loads of other bomies off the Reef).

Alternately you can access local waterways such as Cairns inlet rivers and Tinnaroo. There are plenty of boating options around Cairns and your host, Paul is highly knowledgeable about Cairns reefs and waterways. You can also Rent a Reef Boat using our 4WD tow vehicles or hire separately with your own car.

You can bring your own boat and car and use our self-contained beach accommodation as the base for your boating holiday – there are many options.
